Sorry to ask the same question again, but we never ended up going up to the park a few weeks back when I origionally posted inquiring about how much snow was up in the park. So we are going up this Thurs and Fri night so I'm just curious as to whether or not there has been much melting up there, or if there's still lots of snow? We're just going into Mew Lake....Anyone else gonna be up there then?
We were up on the weekend and there is lots of snow! Most trails are packed and snowshoes are not needed but if you step off the trail you will need them.
Depending on what side of the park you are on. The East side still has over 2 feet of snow on the ground, probably closer to 30". I didn't measure it. Yes it has dropped a bit to bring it to this level. I just got back last night.
I have no idea what is on the west side and hwy 60. It seems to get totally different weather.

We were up to Kearney on Saturday....still lots of snow. Lakes still frozen solid.
Snowshoes required for non-packed trails, for sure.

Well it's very windy down here..there is snow falling too, but it's the wind that is nuts along the lakeshore.
