i woke up today and it has been snowing ever since and there calling for 5 to 10 cm in toronto and im sure that means there will be 15 times more falling in algonquin so i guess that means it will be pretty hard to see the north end of the park be opening up for opening day and i think i will be pushing it wen my trip comes around hope it will be a crazy warm april so we can all go to the park and have a blast!

i hate snow and winter right now its awful wen is it gonna go away like i think mother nature is on some serious drugs cuz shes tripping out with all this shit

lol Rob - Don't get too worked up over it. You're guaranteed to have ice free lakes the weekend your going (was that May 15th?). The portages will be muddy/wet in some sections when u go but they are like that in the usual spots most Springs anyway.

Out ice fishing on Sunday and the ice is over 33", but a foot or more of that is the crappy ice. Saw and heard the Red-Winged blackbirds, and there's more water showing in some of the faster moving creeks around there (Carleton Place/Jasper).

Tapped trees this weekend and the sap is running, albeit slowly. Expect that to increase through the week.

ok ok sounds good i just live down town toronto and its been snowing like crazy but i am sick with the flu and have been in bed all day and just now i actually looked at the ground and i see that it isnt staying and since i last posted a reply on here it has turned more to rain and slush snow which is alot better then wen i first woke up and saw just pure thick snow flakes. if the sap is starting flow then i guess that winter is pretty much over then rite? i hope so im sick of winter not only cuz i work out side but i want to go fishing and get out side!!

2 cm snow called for overnight in Ottawa. Temp however won't get below freezing. Don't expect it to be there by morning. +4C tomorrow!! Yahoo!!!
