Seems it just gave out and the ice from Rock to the planned island site is
more or less open according to the 4 o'clock A-channel news

The folks in Whitney are not too impressed

You early planners must have horse shoes in your pockets

Likely unless they reapir it ASAP , it will be an easier paddle
to the spring opening day gathering from Rock lake campgrounds
rather than canoeing or boating from the dock in whitney

Meaning, said story must be true as it can't be an April Fools prank!!!

well randy,, i fell for it,,only because i have been to the dam before. there was a large old pine tree had got hung up on the dam that spring. a lost kodac moment. the tree was still there straddling the dam on labor day.
a lot of fire wood
