Hey BK
RE; gift only for those who carry a canoe
You like me, being the owner of an 72 lbs St Ignace 14' fiberglass canoe
that havs had likely 10 lbs of paint/fiberglass repair added is WAY TOO HEAVY IMHO
That's why Rob and I have been renting those lighter kevlars
Actually I had bought the newer 16' fiberglass canoe from the Algonquin store
earlier on one of our WP trips but even it weighs closer to 60 lbs.
Perhaps I should consider selling the 16' as a downpayment on the new light weight version
Anyways,
I am sure like you , come retirement, there might be a lightweight canoe purchased
as a self gift. Then you can get your picture taken and framed

for a future birthday
Likely you still prefer those lightweight grimmans but I'm leaning towards kylar or
black gold.. It will be a dream to have a canoe that weighs in about 40 lbs
That way we can carry the other 40 lbs in our pack
Hoping to still reap some knowledge of places in the PARK i've yet travelled
from my older bro down the road and I hope some trippin as well and you can
bring your guitar for some foot stomping fire side entertainment
Big T trip for old times sakes sounds like a great retiremnet package
