This picture is of "Dan" I think, passed on from Racoon(who is in Texas right now).
Anyhoo, Bo wasn't the only one to catch a mess of specks, Dan caught these in Bud Lake on Opening weekend.

don't forget, these are not productive waters... the fish aren't that abundant that you can harvest up to the limit...

I thought Bud was stocked with Splake?? Which I believe do not reproduce?!?!

But your point is well taken and I have to agree, limits should be lowered. We only keep 1 maybe 2 fish our entire trip. We would much rather put them back to catch when they are bigger. Which is more enjoyable than eating them personally, as good as they do taste.

My error, There was no information in the email/request Racoon sent me.
I just assumed they were specks. I'm guessing by your remark that they are splakes instead.
I see now what Canadamoe meant though...didn't know the pic was already posted.

We let almost all of the fish we caught go.... we kept these fish between 4 people I don't think thats being greedy at all .

Oh and there are 4 specks and 1 splake . We had a shore lunch and cooked the splake there and we each took 1 speck home .

Yes, Bud Lake is good.

There is a trail from Bud to Leaf where the fishing is even better.
