Hi,
I am going to Lake Opeongo for a weekend and I am not sure if the plastic water and pop bottles are included in the ban or not. Can someone help me out on this?
Thank you for your help

hi Sunchaser81,

Plastic pop/water bottles are not included in the ban, you can take them into The Park with you.
Believe it or not, you can also take in beer kegs too.

The ban covers cans and glass bottles, except for fuel canisters.

Cheers

Thanks Markus,
I was thinking on transferring my beer into the plastic pop bottles or the green bottles that you put homebrew in.
Markus, is it you that takes the Wells beer in and if so how is?

Sunchaser 81, if you do put your beer in the plastic bottles do iot whe it is as cold as possible, as close to freezing as you can. This helps keep the beer under pressure which stops it from going flat. it would probably be good to get as much into each bottle as you can so there is little air (air compresses).

Have a great trip.

Yes, Markus and I and others have drank Wells in the 2L bottles. We find it good. But then again, any beer in the Park is good!

Another beer that comes in plastic bottles is called "Link".

thanks for the help everyone
I will try the near freezing method and also pick up some Wells and some Link to try here at home.
For me it's not as much as the taste as it is how it treats me the next day, some beer gives me a real hangover the next day. I drink Upper Canada Lager and it treats me fine the next day.

I don't know if they still sell them but those "bubbas" are not to bad to carry.
