Recommend a 3-day fishing tripJune 1 2008 at 12:05 PM | Bryce from IP address 99.252.167.17 |
| For the fisherpeople, I'm thinking about taking off for a weekend (Friday afternoon to Sunday) and looking for some recommendations for some trout lakes. Would like to restrict to south of highway 60 to minimize time on the highway. I was thinking Pen/Clydegale area. Any other recommendations? Would appreciate campsite recommendations, preferably as much in the wind as possible to fend off the flying enemy.

Hopefully a friday afternoon in may find such premium space available
but it is first come first claimed
From such a base camp you can easily trip and fish to:
Gem, Welcome/Harry/Rence as well as fish
Pen or Rock
Optional side trip to Galeiry.. (P.S. great island sites just pasy Rock to Galeiry portgae as a optional base camp.

Pen/Clydegale is a reasonable choice. For a windy spot there's a point on the east shore about halfway down with a campsite on it.

Thanks for the replies.
I reckon this will be a basecamp on one of the larger lakes. Any recommended sidetrips to some of the smaller surrounding lakes? |
