T-Shirt Order STATUS and ( Last chance :-) )

June 5 2008 at 10:11 AM
Racoon
from IP address 99.240.173.93

Here is where we are presently and my plan for the next 2-3 weeks

1. Once qty and colur issues are confirmed by Barry, please see below
I hope everybody will reconfirm their requirements
( please, please,please!!!
wait for Barry's decision on T-Shirt colour and log/url location and colour
)
Then reconfirm your order identifing:
a. ( SIZE/Quantity and optional name if desired
and
b. any additional T-shit orders (different colour)
and as well
c. Please identify
--- where delivery by Canada post will be
--- e.g to a Canadian province like Ontario I'll presume
--- but if we have any deliveries to the USA
----> I will need to know this for delivery costs estimate

2. Then, Around 9 June 2008 I'll post again with all reconfirmed orders

3. Then hopefully all will get their $$ in my mailbox ASAP
and

4. then I'll place the order hoping to get order delivered before end of June 2008

Re: Barry's questions

"does everyone's order definitely have to be on a grey T_shirt"
&
"with life-jackets and packs so often covering one's back,
will it be possible to include a small web address under the
big encircled "A", on the front, like before?"

The Grey T-Shirt is not fixed nor is the logo/URL
placement

Barry...
Could you Please make this colour and logo/url decision
There are Way Too many people involved for a committee decision so
>> I'll leave this decision to you as you made
some valid points I overlooked !!! <<<

BTW: I 100% agree that a logo and URL on the front is likely best
>> and of course an optionally "name" (extras cost) on the right sleeve
for those wanting this option

Barry: please. please decide on logo/url location
and colours ( U R the man!! in this decision forum and your unbiased ability is track proven

My Suggestion:
Perhaps instead Orange or Yellow T-Shirt with Green lettering
as the standard might be best for visibility and safety
in addition to your logo/url concern

noting:

Extra T-shirts (per person preference) additional to the
main order could be another colour of Tshirt ( assuming
same logo/url colour

or
" should we go just black for logo/URL/etc "
as Black logo/URL would be a better choice for suitability
on any extra different coloured shirts requested by individuals

In summary
( A great suggestion by Barry)
"with life-jackets and packs so often covering one's back,
will it be possible to include a small web address under the
big encircled "A", on the front, like before?"
Order Summary

It looks like approx 29 Shirts are being requested
( + two extras blue ones for Trainman ) = 31
It looks like the $16/$16 is bang on to allow for
shipping and $$ leftover to charity donation

( I am now thinking of Tims "Camp for Kids" as a designated charity.
I feel it is something related to our AA purpose

I do relate to others desires for Diabetes or another charity
as well as my preference being CMHA or Mental Health charity
but I'd like to just designate one charity for simplicity

Note:
At qty 30, the shirt cost with logo/URL is < $15 plus
onetime image cost

It does definately look like the total cost
will be < $20 (I estimated intially at $16/$17 )

Of course , this is depending on artwork one time
setup cost (which I just requested)
and of course taxes
and shipping/etc
plus a donation to a charity
At qty 30 the shirt cost with logo/URL is <$15

****My Custom Quote online quote was for :

30 Fruit of the Loom Heavy Cotton T-Shirts
-- 1 colors on front.
-- 1 color on left sleeve.
-- 1 colors on back.

*** came back with a Price per item: $12.35

**** Artwork Charge is extra
and of course
Tax & Shipping is not included
but at least all prices are in Canadian $

Anyways

This is present tentative order status I've used
to get estimate costing

hehehe....

Throw my name in for 2

1-Large
1-X Large

(as long as they aren't yellow, I don't care about what colour they end up being...the main thing is the AA logo. I like the idea of it being on the shoulder, if that's what you guys decide.)

I found out the hard way...you suggested it, you organize it

think you'll be suggesting anything else in the near future?

And I like the idea of the charity being the Tims' Kid Camps.

Thanks, Racoon. You're a peach.

Hmmmm... Let me think

Ok that was long enough ...
Yuppers I would take on such things again
and have and will continue to do so
( Subject to my timeframe and desires at the time
as it positions me as the CEO of such undertasking
and except for the $1/2 million salary the benefits/perks
are great

BTW: I am fully aware of " Volunteer " backlash

Anyways
I'm a sucker for great causes

put me down for a Large, please!

if colour comes down to a custom choice, I'll let you know once that is established. I would prefer anything but super bright like orange -- don't wanna be an eyesore in the bush.

my suggestion would be something like a typical light tan colour (won't get hot in the sun) with semi-dark green lettering for easy visibility.

Thanks again, Mr. Raccoon!

Re: input

June 5 2008, 1:59 PM

I'm with Barbara .. definitely not yellow! I don't want to look like a walking Algonquin garbage bag or portage sign. Nor orange, like a campsite sign! LOL!

The colour selection page that you linked to ( http://www.entripy.com/quote.aspx?product=520 ) has a nice alternative to white. It's called "natural". It's subdued down from the standard "clean white" that tends to show every bit of dirt.

I'm still in favour of the dark green circular logo with the web URL directly below.

Hi Racoon;

I'm with Barry in terms of the logo and my dislike of the yellow or orange colours. My my choice would be for the "Denim" or "Black" coloured shirt.

Hey Jeff

Would you be wanting to attract bugs with your heat-radiating-black shirt? Not to mention HOT to the wearer? And dark green on black ? Me thinks you'd end up somewhat hot, buggy and illegible.

For my shirts, can you have the following put on the sleeves.

"Proppe's Paddles" put on the Large T-Shirt, and then
"Josh" on one of the small ones, and
"Liam" on the final Small one.

(no quotes of course)

Let me know how much I owe you, and where to send the cheque, so that you can get paid ASA.

T-shirt order

Looking for 2 shirts

1 large shirt
"DogByte" on sleeve

1 medium shirt
"Siobhan" on sleeve

If we can pick(suggest?) colour then...
-Athletic Heather
-Khaki
-Sagestone
These colours already look kinda dirty (grin) and are neutral in tone.

The verdict is in :-)

June 5 2008, 7:51 PM

At least wearers will be "Natural" which is in line
with perhaps the reason for AlgonquinAdventures being online

Well not as Natural as if you were not wearing a shirt
and those fishnet versions are hard to printscreen on

The Verdict
Appears we ( some anyways )are not very open
in our colour options or preferences in that :

a. Yellow to emulate a walking AP sac
or
b. Orange to mimic a Campsite sign

was not given much of a chance

Perhaps I should of suggested PINK

Anyways... I will get a natural colour and I call always just buy
buy my one pink, yellow and orange versions anyways so that
my fashion wardrobe is complete for all occassions

Anyways... I am gratefull for the quick decision process
shown by Barry.. Now I will get accurate quote and
with the numbers of shirts going up slightly
due to some procrastination on some the estimate
available online has decreased..
Isn't that great?

Imagine if the more gas you bought , the less per litre it would be!

Anyways
Here is the FINAL version of what is being ordered

Colour : Natural
It's subdued down from the standard "clean white" that tends to show every bit of dirt.
See ( http://www.entripy.com/quote.aspx?product=520 ) for actual colour
of natural

Logo and Web address / URL will be on front (dark green)

Nothing on the back ( except your pfd, pack or canoe/kayak )

Optional per person is an embroidered name on the left sleve.
I am confirming what is the letter limit so some requests
for things not just a name but two words or a saying
may not be possible or if they are may cost extra

Rac n

P.S. I know I pointed to the right sleeve when the embroidered
name will actually be on the left sleeve..
Just think of the diagram being "your other left"

I'm out of the office for one day and look at what I miss.

Racoon,

Please put me down for the following:

1 Large - SmedleyCo on sleeve
1 Small - Gus on the sleeve

Why are you getting the sleeves embroidered? Wouldn't you want it screen printed like the front? Just wondering.

Thanks for doing this, I am in Ontario.

Hi Racoon ...

Natural is great!

For my shirts, can you have the following put on the sleeves.

"Proppe's Paddles" put on the Large T-Shirt, and then (If Proppe's Paddles is too long, then "Jeff P" will suffice
"Josh" on one of the small ones, and
"Liam" on the final Small one.
