I "played" with GPS a few years back with my students at work, and found that a class set of 30 identical units would produce varying (close but not identical) coordinates. I did a "treasure hunt" with the kids, and even in an open field, the kids struggled to find the "loot".
That was 4 years ago though, and I hear that finite accuracies have improved greatly. With that in mind, I'm asking Santa for a GPS unit this year, as I like the idea of using geotags to get to some of the interesting points in the park, that I might otherwise miss. Other then on Google Earth though, I haven't been able to find many "good" geo tags in the park that I wanted to investigate. It would be cool though to have the coordinates, if not only for my personal use.
Interestingly enough, I've heard the Park is in the process of getting geo tags (coordinates) for all the interior sites; I'm just not sure if theve published or even finished collecting them.
