Found a really nice collection of old photos online from Ontario.
Many of them associated with Algonquin Park, lots of history in there, about the painters, guides, etc.
I really liked the deer in the canoe...one I've never seen before...many others too.

This first page has nothing to do with Algonquin, but with cities;

These are the good links;

Thanks for sharing those links Markus. I really enjoyed the classic algonquin black and white pics.

I love the historical side of the park!

Your welcome sir!
It certainly is a treat though eh?
Nice to see someone out there putting it altogether.
Cheers

The whole website is good ...

The whole context, starting with ... http://www.images.technomuses.ca/?en/searching_sublime/intro_flash/page/1/ is really neat. As you click on the various menu choices, the address doesn't change, so I can't direct you to the better parts. Just check out .. the Searchers, the Great Escape and Being There.

It's quite the presentation to find in the Science and Technology Museum Website.

Section 4 of this link second picture in from the left (Grand Trunk advertisement for Algonquin Park) - A couple of years back I bought a postcard from an antique show with this picture on it and someone had mailed it in 1904. I though it was pretty cool so I bought for $5 I think. I didn't know they used the pic for an ad. Neat!

I never complain about my wife dragging me to an antique show again. What a find!

Thanks again
