After months of debate and research, I finally picked up a Mutha Hubba today. My lord, it is a thing of beauty! Anyone else have one?

Also picked up the new MSR hyperflow water filter to go with my MSR Windpro stove (starting to sound like a comercial). Four months ago I didn't own MSR anything. The stove worked great in May so I felt confident enough to try out a few more goodies from the same company. Slowly replacing some of my older (and heavier) gear.

Nine day countdown... heading in from AP11 to do the Lavieille Loop. J-Wolf, relieved to hear you say that the mosquito situation is getting under control around there. We're doing a leisurely 6 day loop (Ope., the Crows, Lav, Dickson, Ope.) so if anyone's going to be in the area, stop by!

We are heading up on the 21st - Dickson then Lavieille, the Crow River and we are going to try a few of the smaller lakes in the area. Let me know where you might be on the 21-22, I will hopefully be wearing my new AA T-Shirt, thanks to Raccoon.

The nights of the 21st and 22nd will be our two nights on Lavieille. We'll be in a 17ft Algonquin Outfitters canoe (there's 3 of us). Not sure where we're staying yet but it'll most likely be at the top of the lake somewhere. Tent is bright orange of course.

We'll be on Dickson for the night of the 23rd. Are you fishing or just camping? I think we'll just have one rod&reel going between the 3 of us. Here's hoping for good weather!
