I will be doing a loop from cedar through catfish/burntroot and the back up to cedar via the nip. Which lake would you folks recommend camping on...Remona or Whiskeyjack?

I spent two nights on the single island site on Robinson Lake last year and loved it. The FOA map shows two sites on the lake, but there is only one and it's on the island in the eastern part of the lake. It's a great site too! Lots of space, log benches, kitchen, multiple levels, incredible sunsets....I could go on forever.

I liked Whiskeyjack and Remona, but this is one of my favorite sites. Below is a video of the site. Please excuse my failed attempts to be funny...lol

NOTE:I mention in the video that there are two sites, but later that day was when we discovered the second site didn't exist.

If you move every day, 3 nights should be enough, but 4 or 5 would be better...more time to relax and enjoy.

it's a 4 day loop for us:

1st day/night Head up the petewawa and south on catfish, camp near the base
of catfish

2nd day/night head through perley, burnt root through robinson into whiskey jack

3d day/night head thru remona into nipissing (looooooooooooong paddle down the nip)

4th day head down the nipissing back to cedar, cross to brent and head home

It's a fairly leisurely pace...less than 20 km each day....
