I was reading a triplog from 1996 and came across "Once closer to shore and the creek, the water gets calmer. As we work our way along the Otterslide, the water gets shallow. We decide to walk the canoes through the water up stream which allows us to bypass the first portages of 105m and 730m." Is it still possible in 2008 to do this? Thanks
I haven't been thru the otterslides in years, however as of last weekend...and last month, water levels throughout the east and north end of The Park were high to very high.
This might help in your quest to skip a few portages. With every opportunity, scouting ahead can save you time and bumps and bruises. Good Luck!
