| Hello all, we're looking for a lake with enough fish to keep the kids busy, my buddy is leaning towards Sproule, I'm leaning towards Booth or Bridle. Comments would be appreciated.

This is easy for me to answer.
Sproule.....splake....need patience so not for kids.
Booth......better.......pike and bass and lake trout.
Bridle......best choice for me.....excellent for bass and will make
kids dance with glee! Better still, Sec Lake.....best lake in Algonquin
for bass/pike.

you don't know where Sec is???? After all, I only talk about this lake
every day or so!! hgahahahahah
Sec Lake is near Achray or Grand Lake. You get your permits at Sand Lake
Gate and then backtrack about 2 km, turn right, and a few kms later you
are at the access point to Sec.
Sand Lake gate is accessed from the last turnoff to Petawawa, and then
you go up the Barron Canyon Road. It is about a 30 minute drive from
the turnoff at Petawawa on Highway 17 to Sec Lake.

Hey Bo, Sec is too far a drive for me, as we're coming up highway 11. Does sound like a good lake though. we ended up getting a site at Sproule anyways, as all other lakes were booked up. any chance there are rockbass, perch or sunfish to keep the kids interested, recommended campsites or other points of interest??
thanks,

Sunfish, perch, etc.......not that I'm aware of!
Sproule is a beautiful lake with very clear water. Lots of great
campsites on the lake. Instead of fishing, tell your kids it's very special swimming water that dinosaurs used to swim in! LOL
