Woo-Whoo What a great AA effort ( Thanks to all)

Yup... Finally I believe the deed is done

T-Shirts order/delivery Status
( Note: Your T-Shirt is in the mail or packed for pickup at AP# 15in Aug )

Accounting details ( Actual Receipts are available if required/requested )

Revenue/Income

37 shirts ordered and 24 had names embroidered on the sleeve

Total Collected $741 ( includes outstanding payments )
( BTW: Some even contributed a few extras $$ to make their
payment an even number )

Expenses

Cost of T-Shirt Order from Vendor was $448.40 after adjustment for missing names

Mailing costs

a. Envelopes $11.24

b. Postage $98.56 ( Even Canada post adds a fuel surcharge

Misc Expenses

Refunds $ 8.00
( For 2 people @ $4 each. They paid for embroidered name but were shipped
a Tshirt without name
Thankfully they had ordered two shirts
and one Tshirt had their name on the sleeve
Sorry about that ( Harry/Mike L) but this happens I guess
and it was getting tedious to try and sort this out, so I compromised

Balance
$741 - ( $448.40 + $11.24 + $98.56 + $8 )
= $741 - $566.20
= $174.80 of Profit

*********WHOOO_ WHOOO***********
********************************
********************************
*** Way a go AA Team
********************************

As promised.
We did made a profit and it will be distributed as planned

Plan was for $2 per shirt and we ordeder 37 T's
expecting $ 2 per shirt for a total of $74 to each
designated recipient

We exceeded our GOAL

Chqs will be written to AA and Tim's (Camp for Kids) for $87.40 each
Well not immediately but soon....after my next drink to celebrate my
longest duration portage to date !!!

Whew... I am glad that's finally finished.

That was more difficult than I thought
but was as much fun as
portaging to my favorite lake
( Big Trout in case you didn't know)

MOTD:
Tough going while enroute but a great feeling
when all is said and done and the portage is behind you

For what it's worth, and I don't know if it would be a concern to others involved, but I promote the idea of you getting the donation receipt for tax purposes given the effort you put into all of this. Thanks again

I hope you don't send me the refund. I'd rather you have it and buy a Timmy's and a donut on me. Or maybe a pint on me the get-together in Ottawa.
That's the least I can do for all your work.

Thanx Again

Great job!

July 17 2008, 11:55 PM

Thanks for the work and effort Raccoon. I agree, for the work you did you deserve a drink on us! I'll even bring a few in Aug. to make sure you get it! Now all we need is a get together to get a real "group shot."

Thanks again!

Great reward idea?

July 18 2008, 7:45 AM

Number 1: Group picture wearing the SHIRTS at Kingscotte

Refund btw ( 2 x 2$ coins) enclosed with TSirt in the mail with shirt
Hope they all make it thru the post.. Lots of minor issue with the
envelope size ( must of been the way I folded the shirts.

Some were too thick and end up going as parcel ( Gas sur charge )
but the majority went as letter rate

Seeing we all did a great job and raised some money for a
good cause ( getting kids to camp ) and supporting AA ,
I hope that we all consider Tims or our favorite charity
the next time we see a donation bin/slot beside the cash register

Received my second tshirt today Racoon. Thanks again for your diligence - I'm sure at some point you probably asked yourself why am I doing this but we certainly appreciate your efforts in getting us dressed in the AA logo and that you came up with the idea to send some money to the Timmy Camp. A good pat on the back is deserved and a large cold one when we meet up.

Hey Markus ...

There was a family matter that delayed Jeffrey M's departure till Friday July 18th, when he and his Dad left for Drummer Lake for 2 nights then further in the park for I think 2 more weeks or so (from what I understand everything was ok when they left).

I'll let Jeffrey M fill in the details when he gets back.

Thanks Jeff and welcome back.

It sounds like you had another fine trip with the boys and am looking forward to the trip log.

I too have just returned from a week up on Lavieille/Crow and although it was not as hot as it could have been, anything ice cold is great this time of year!

Perhaps with the extra FUEL surcharges Canada Post charges they have decided
to send them by the long route. They were just sent regular post
and they have not been returned so they are on the way

Your shirts were mailed , I know for sure
1 XL natural (with name Coach)
and
1 Large natural (with name Spec-t8r)

Patience is a virtue :-)

July 30 2008, 8:08 AM

Hey Coach
Rain or shine , the mail does get thru (eventually!!)

Xan Wedel found the letter, postmarked Nov. 11, 1948, in her mailbox Friday. The envelope was stamped with "Return to sender" and "Found in supposedly empty mailbox."

"It's impossible to really know what may or may not have happened," said Lawrence Postmaster Judy Raney. "No matter what, we always take it and go ahead and send it on."

Here's hoping your shirts don't take that long

Still waiting but I am sure they will show up. Ironically, my wife is a letter carrier for Canada Post and I have been giving her the gears about all of this.

I will keep you posted (pun definitely intended)!
