We didnt camp on them but we took a side trip around the "loop" when we were camping on Booth. It was 12 years ago, but the portages were not maintained and the campsites were small BUT they are isolated and the lakes are quite nice. We didnt fish there so I cant tell you about that. If you are a small group it will be nice.

I agree with what Tom said...portages are still not maintained and campsites are very isolated. Going further east to the lakes I call the 3 little B's
(Bailey, Band and Boot) will produce better fishing for trout. By the way,
I do believe I read somewhere that many years ago, Farley Mowat was doing
some research on wolves near and/or on Boot Lake.

There is a steep climb from McCarthy Creek to Mole if I remember correctly.
Godda is the best for trout, having both lakers and specks in it. I would
only rate the fishing fair at best in the spring.

Mole is crap, don't camp there. Godda looked great from shore...beautiful lake...Don't know about Rumley.
Saw the largest Crayfish of my life on Mole...almost lobster status!
If you have to camp on Mole, the south site is the better of the two.
The portage from Mole to Godda was in excellent shape last September...Once you come upon two pines on flat terrain(like an archway), the trail is downhill the rest of the way into Godda.

Cheers

Thanks for the input guys. The trip will be Booth, Godda, Booth with my wife and my two year old daughter. This is her second trip into the Park, her first when she was one! Thanks.

To correct Bo,

There is no steep climb into Mole from McCarthy creek.
Rather, there is(or was), about a 20 meter drag thru mud and over logs to get into Mole.
Pictured below: The 20 meter carry-over, Mole Lake in the background.
