Hey all just thought i'd share this with ya.

I purchased this about 2 weeks ago just for a beater canoe. $200 I sure never expected what I got tho and not sure of the make.

Its an older boat but only weighs about 55 lbs. Now I was assuming fibreglas and was informed as such but I think its Kevlar. Like one of the older ones but don't know how to tell.

It has Canada and Canoe stamped in the metal on the front and back triangle plates.
It also has Ribs on the inside similar to my Scott and is 17' long..

Anyways let me know what you think. And watch out for JAWS in the park and say Hi lol .

Oh BTW the color now is original I removed the old paint with paint stripper and thinner.

Good test of weight would be on a reasonable portage carry

I just bought an old kevlar myself. You can see the kevlar matting on the inside of the canoe and it has an expoy type shell over it. The matting appears different than the fiberglass matting that I have seen.
