In Ted Strolenberg's "Opeongo, Proulx, Hogan and Happy Isle Lakes Loop" trip-log he says that if he was to do this loop again he would go in the other direction thereby having mor downhill portages. Would most people agree with this?

Yup, I sure do agree.

Going from Opeongo to Happy Isle and back through Hogan and Proulx is certainly easier and more downhill!!
