I was just talking to Joan this morning and she was in touch with the
Park and Kingscote Lake is wide open that weekend, i.e. August 21-24.

She is making a reservation for one site. However, with 3 tents only allowed
per site, we are full as Joan, myself and Markus each have a tent. Therefore, it seems necessary for others to make their own reservation.
Our site, henceforth called AA Headquarters, will be used for all festivities,campfires, get-to-gethers, etc. for those who are interested in
attending such.

Joan, Markus and I are arriving on Thursday morning the 21st. Today, all
campsites on Kingscote are available so we have a good chance of getting
the site that we want, i.e. the northern site of the 3 sites that are grouped
together on the right-hand shore. I've been told that there are trails
from the other 2 sites to AA Headquarters. Anyways, that is Plan A for
now and in the event that our preferred site is taken, Plan B will be
discussed at the lake.

I will definitely have a boat and am currently working on a motor. If all
else fails, I will be rowing Joan and I to our site and she will be feeding
me grapes and beverages!! LOL Either that or Markus and his brother can
tow our boat and we both can put our feet up and enjoy, enjoy, enjoy!!!

The plan is coming together to what will definitely be a funfilled few
days on Kingscote.

Hey Bo,

Unless something's changed since I last saw Markus a few hours ago, he isn't coming in until the Friday with his brother. So we're stuck together; what happens on Kingscote stays on Kingscote hahaahahahahaha!!!!! As if we'll even remember eh lol!

So when I arrive at the permit office, I can just tell them to add my name to "one of those groups out on the lake"?

J-Wolf, I'm pretty sure this is fine provided you give them the name of someone out there. Might help if they also mention that a friend of theirs might be showing up. I can't remember which of the two is necessary. For privacy issues, I'm pretty sure you can't ask who's on the lake and then add from there.

Well what do ya know? I learn something new everyday from this forum!

I am booked under reservation #6121005

No need to phone/reserve as you can just tack onto my permit at the office
when you arrive ( unless you want to add mullah to the Parks Canada
coffers)

Somebody else should book a site as we ikely will need at least three
but I don't think it will be a problem to wait till you arrive
