Retail Operations Manager
This is an exciting opportunity to work for a growing, dynamic company in the heart of Muskoka. Working directly with the Owner and Controller, the Retail Operations Mgr will oversee the performance of nine retail locations. The ideal candidate will be a strong leader, motivating, delegating, and empowering different teams within the company to achieve desired results.
Duties:
* Work w/ departmental buyers to optimize product mix, margin, and ultimately sell-through
* Pricing promotion and seasonal timeline design and implementation
* Co-ordinate Merchandising company wide, including fixturing and retail support programs
* Organization of Special events
* Contribute to effective communication between all locations
* Ability to lead as well as participate in all aspects of new product integration
* Motivate and lead staff in terms of sales techniques, product knowledge, and general appearance
* Performs all other duties and assignments as required
Requirements:
* A post secondary degree or diploma in business marketing or related field (asset)
* 3 or more years retail experience in management and/or buying
* Experience with visual merchandising and retail layout
* Ability to understand and interpret financial reports and forecasts
* Excellent organizational and time line management skills
* Ability to communicate effectively both within organization and externally
* Familiarization with computer point of sale software an asset
* Strong flexibility and adaptability in a constantly changing environment
