I just got the thanks you letter for Tims Camp for Kids

I will scan and post their letter once I get a chance to finish computer restore.
No tax recipt was asked for since that was not my desire.

I told them it was not me but all of us who chipped in and
did this nice deed and no one individual deserved full credit
in the form of a charity tax receipt.

Hope Coach finally got his shirts?
They were mailed to 160 Dundas St W, Belleville, Ont, K8P 1A6

Finally got my computer fixed and restored my crashed disk and rescued my mailing labels. Soon I will get all the peripherals reinstalled and the scanner
will once again work

Randy

just wanted to add

August 27 2008, 9:48 PM

The letter is great and it is a wonderful thing that was done. I just wanted to add something...

On Monday we were paddling/portaging out of Little Trout Lake and we came across a large group of boys with their camp counsellors. The kids were from all over Canada and the group was part of the Tim's Foundation Camps. The reason I wanted to mention this is that I saw first hand where these monies go and how great a time the kids were having.... and I thought that you'd all like to hear that.

Couldn't Agree more

I to have seen such camps around, not always in Algonquin mind you, but non the less a tribute to what the experience is all about.

I sometimes forget how lucky me and my family are in that we can travel to the cottage or Algonquin at the drop of a hat, and while enjoying the moment, often don't fully understand the privilege such excursions are!. The times at the cottage or Algonquin, for us are always wonderful, but I suspect that for "Tim's Kids" the memories are life altering so Thank You for reminding us of that.

As a habit, I always put my change in Tim's "Cup" when I get a coffee, and like wise my change in Wendy's "Tin" to support adoption causes around the country. I know on AA we are a good folk, and hope others do too!

Raccoon, you chose a worthy cause to split the "profit" with, and am glad to have been a part of it in some small way!

Way to go Raccoon, and AA!
