Finally getting up to the park in the next 2 weeks and wondered if anyone has some campsite tips for Little Trout Lake? Any other noteable things about this area worth exploring or knowing? Thanks!
The first site on the north side of the lake is excellent with a nice rock outcrop to fish and swim.

Here's the site Moose Patrol is mentioning, nice site.
If you need more cover from wind/rain, the S side has a sheltered site where you too can elect a new Pope!
Daytrip over to Queer, catch some specks, walk the portage to Tim R & chutes.

Thanks Moose Patrol and Preacher esp. for the photos since it gives me a good look at the site. I may have to check that south site since they're calling for rain this weekend. I'm going to have to get friends that can go during the week in future because lately weekends have sucked except for Labour Day weekend.

My son and I are also planning a trip into little trout. we're wanting to use this lake as a base camp for a week and do some day trips through the area. What is the fishing like on little trout? any areas on this lake or nearby to watch for moose? any beach areas on the lake? what lakes near by should i deffinately day trip to?
