Thanks for sharing your trip to North River Lake .. http://www.canoeguy.ca/index.php?pr=Fall_2009

That alder-choked creek, specially so late in the day, must have had you worried. It doesn't seem like it's very much used or maintained. Those "row-boats" must surely have gotten in by "logging roads"?

Your trip-log has the distinction of being the first link under Access Point #26 in the Algonquin Adventures Trip-log Inventory!

Thanks Barry, I accept the honour.

I was hoping the creek wasn't going to be like that all the way, but it only lasted a third of the distance.

Joanne and Markus said that they passed the rowboats in the creek on their way in.  The guys were poling them along.

Yes, I see the face...it was pretty cool! Nice log, good pics, especially the multiple shots, and a good time looked to be had by all.

It was great to hook up with ya again Darren, did you catch any fish on the way out?
I was eyeing those deep pools on the river, however the weather was very terrible, long day tripping out...made it with 30 min. to spare before dark.
Will post pics at the end of October(Busy Schedule).

I kept catching these white scaled fish on North Depot and below the lake on the river. I guess they were whitefish?
Except the ones I caught all had deep pink/almost blood red colouring on the bottom of the fish. Does this mean they were spawning? I don't have any pictures of them though
