They're only 2 points ahead of the Leafs... it's a long season.. Leafs won't be far behind Mtl this year as they are going to surprise a lot of people..

the have one of the best core of defense in the NHL and very deep...too deep as they have to sit 1 or 2 every night

their week spot is getting enough goals, but they should get plent of 2-1 and 3-2 wins

I Like Robert's assessment of Da Leafs this year.
I watched the game last night and was pleasantly surprised by the quality of discipline of the players' and their abilities.
They already look like a team in early January: A team that has played together for months and has finally gel'd into a TEAM.
Many people I have spoken with this year, insist that this season is already a goner(Myself included), as the Leafs are busy 're-building'.
I realize that last night's game was just one game. However, if what I saw was not just a freak of nature, but a taste of what's to come from the leaf bench, I would concur with Robert's assessment....we could be in for a lot of surprises this year in leaf land.

So, the Leafs, fresh off victories over Boston and Ottawa, can't beat the cellar dwelling Lighting. They also made sure that Stamkos left town with his first NHL point.
I'm telling you, let the season go, get Taveras, and build for the future.

I'm not expecting the leafs to go anywhere this year becaurse they are rebuilding but they're sure a nice surprise to watch. Wilson is great by making them hustle and play his way or sit. I am really enjoying watching them so far which I haven't in quite a few years. Just keep Sundine out of Toronto all together.
