Hi all; cabin fever should be a legitimate illness in medical texts....

...and snowshowing in APP is the perfect remedy. To that end, has anyone been out on snoswshoes in the park and if so, what were conditions like?

APP Snowshoeing conditions in the Park

With 2+ ft of snow on the ground I'd have to say the snowshoeing conditions in the park are excellent.

Randy is right! They're in great condition. I've been twice about a week and a half ago and we've had a lot more snow since then.

The x-country ski trails aren't ready yet. The west gate's 5km loop and 1km loop are open (packed down but not track set) but you just have to watch there are a few area you have to work around.

Saw lots of Moose tracks on the ski trails though!

Yeah, I headed up to the Gravenhurst area on Saturday intending to do a one night gear test. My destination was blocked with a 3-4' bank of snow-plow snow and +2' of snow down the road. It was a nice drive, but I didn't go there just to turn around and come home. wink.gif
