...and snowshowing in APP is the perfect remedy. To that end, has anyone been out on snoswshoes in the park and if so, what were conditions like?

With 2+ ft of snow on the ground I'd have to say the snowshoeing conditions in the park are excellent.

Randy is right! They're in great condition. I've been twice about a week and a half ago and we've had a lot more snow since then.

The x-country ski trails aren't ready yet. The west gate's 5km loop and 1km loop are open (packed down but not track set) but you just have to watch there are a few area you have to work around.

Saw lots of Moose tracks on the ski trails though!

Yeah, I headed up to the Gravenhurst area on Saturday intending to do a one night gear test. My destination was blocked with a 3-4' bank of snow-plow snow and +2' of snow down the road. It was a nice drive, but I didn't go there just to turn around and come home.
