FYI,

2009 has been declared the International Year of Astronomy.
The kick-off in Toronto takes place at the Ontario Science Centre on Saturday, Jan. 10.
All sorts of activities are planned for the day.
You may learn some things to help with constellation identification while looking up at the beautiful Algonquin night sky.

Astronomy

Hey Stainless,
Thanks for the updates. I still see Jupiter next to the moon. My grandson ordered a 5mw green laser on the i-net for about 20USD. It does a pretty good job of star pointing. I am not working so have been spending a lot of time on the web and videos. I now have videos posted at the end of several most recent trip reports. Have a great 2009. It sure seems to be going fast already. happy.gif Maybe catch you on the water this year.
