I found a copy of A Few Rustic Huts!

On the Algonquin Park website, they are selling copies of the book for $5.99! In the end, it ended up costing about $9.50 including shipping and taxes, so I thought that it was a good deal, considering that any used one I looked at was $10, and the proceeds support the Park. I'll let you guys know more about it once it's in my hands in 4-10 business days.

Looks like the Wenda cabin on the front cover?

That the cabin I think I will try and rent this coming year wink.gif

Perhaps even find the illusive trout in Carcajou too.

the book came today, and although I haven't had the chance to read it, it seems like it will be an excellent read!!

I find it to be a really enjoyable book.. just too short sad.gif. A couple years back I hadn't seen it available anywhere except used book store for a pretty penny. Imagine my surprise when there was a single copy in the Visitor's Center.

By the way.. does anyone know where the Hurdman Cr cabin was? I think it's referenced in this book, but I've never seen it on any map.

I think the Hurdman Creek Cabin is still there... Not livable, but the walls are still up...

Looks like a pretty good read. This just reminded me of my order that recently came in. I ordered 3 canoeing books, 3 maps, a lake depth book, and a little book-that was recommended-called The Canoeists Manual($1.00) Now, that's good value! haha. Oh, and of course, a membership. With the membership I received a discount. Thank you Stephanie!

Cheers!
Shawn
