Hi All,

I've posted a scan of the 1925 Arthur Brown map of Algonquin Park. It's a revised and corrected edition of Dr. Bell's 1908 map.

For those who are interested, I scanned it from the University of Toronto's collection.

Very Cool, Thanks Jeffrey!

Interesting, out of nowhere, a road goes from Shirley Lake over to The Bonnechere River, north of McKaskill Lake.
Wonder what was there, on the river?

More scanned 'historical' AP maps to come?

March 27 2009, 5:18 PM

Tks kindly Jeffrey,

I recollect a post last year where there was a screen shot of a section of an AP map (Canoe Routes?) from the 1960's. Do you have access to that map and is it in good enough condition to scan? I'm not 100% sure, but it may have been in one of your threads.

A few weeks ago I posted a section of a late 60's map - is that what you're referring to? I have a 1958 which I'll be scanning since it's out of copyright, and I just bought a 1960 one which I'll be scanning since it's copyright expires late next year, but te late 1960's one doesn't have it's copyright expire for many more years... maybe I'll seek permission to distribute it though. Hmmm

Tks Jeffrey - i thought it was further back then that (e.g. in December?) but time's been flying by lately so who knows.

I love those old maps and many tks for your efforts in scanning/posting them for all to enjoy.

No problem! I'll be doing another scanning run in a few weeks - I'll try to digitize every map I have and every Algonquin map U of T has.
