The AFA 2010-2020 Forest Management Plan's Phase 1 (the first 5 years of the new 10 year period and the preferred areas for the second 5-year term) is available for public inspection and comment for the 30 day period from March 16 - April 15, 2009.
Over at the ABR (Algonquin Backcountry Recreationalists) forum, we're inviting commentary regarding these alternative primary road corridors. We've started a thread on each of the four corridor roads ... Billy Lake Road, Manta Lake Road, Three Mile Lake Road, and Thompson Lake Road.
The ABR Executive Committee intends to submit comments on these (see below: Appendix 3 - Alternative Primary Road Corridors) to the AFA by mid-April. Toward that, we are interested in getting feedback from the general 'recreationalist' public, as well as our own membership.
