The co-hosted Algonquin Outfitters - Algonquin Adventures Spring 2009 Photo Contest has started! This time around we are looking for a fun or funny theme in celebration of the joy of spring.

You can submit any photos take in Algonquin Park that contain pictures of people having fun or pictures of something funny you saw. So start digging through your photos for great pictures of everything fun or funny. As always photos will be judged on quality first and theme second.

We've already had our first entry into the contest by Mike Wood. I'm sure many more will flow in over the next two months that the contest runs.

Here we are only 3 weeks before the contest ends .. and we've only got 17 entries. I thought AA'ers were a fun-loving bunch. Or maybe we're just not photogs?

Alex I would love to see it. So many people have contributed so many great photos thus far. I would have to say that our photo contest have been very popular with most contests drawing 100+ photos. Some reason, this one's been slow.

Photo contest nearing it's close date

May 16 2009, 11:38 AM

I have a question for everyone.

Gord Barter just brought it to my attention that my contest entry form may have had a minor glitch that stopped some people from entering the contest. I have since fixed the glitch. Although I don't believe this was a problem for many people I want to be sure everyone who wanted to enter the contest had a fair chance to do so.

My question is, would people like to see the contest run longer (say until the end of June, another 4 weeks) to give people a chance to enter more Fun or Funny in Algonquin Park photos. To date there's only 22 photos entered, a far cry from the usual 100+ we receive. Or would you like to see us proceed with the judging on June 1st?

Either way our Summer Photo Contest is scheduled to start on July 1st

To enter the contest just go to
