Thanks, Barry, and the ABR Executive Committee (I assume) for your thoughtful and well-reasoned response to the road corridor options. I have always accepted the presence of logging in the Park and was never been put off by the logging roads. They have been a pretty ubiquitous part of interior camping for as long as there has been a Parkng. Most unwelcome, though, are the sounds of logging activity, the beep, beep and roar of heavy equipment and even the whine of chainsaws, that are entirely out of place and thoroughly annoying (unlike the distant rumble of trains, that was almost felt more than heard, that I actually found I missed after they were gone). So, I especially appreciate your focus on holding operations to a "seperation in time" standard where their proximity to canoe routes is otherwise unavoidable.

Committee and member input ...

April 20 2009, 5:29 PM

The ABR Executive Committee served well in forming, focusing, reviewing, tweaking and proofing a long sequence of drafts which culminated in the final submission.

The EC members (7) are wide spread through the GTA and conduct the majority of their internal communications on a separate sub-forum. We were also able to get some valued perspectives from the public ABR forum.

We are optimistic that our recreational concerns will be properly recognized by the APFMP Team.
