I would be very intrested in hearing from people ,who own a LANGFORD canoe that have had a broken bow seat.I too had my seat (the beam support broke at the back of the front seat)during the first week in may sending both of us in the water.We lost a lot of fishing gear.I think this is entirely unacceptable in a canoe that I paid over $2500. and was being used for the first Time.
I think Langford Needs to look into strengthening this support as it sound like this happens a lot.

Hmm... sounds like a product issue in general. I'd honestly seek some compensation. That break could've cost you your life if it were early enough in May, let alone fishing gear. Glad to hear you're alright.

Three Langord seats on three separate new boats on this board alone? I'll stick to Swift...

Sounds like it's a problem confined to new canoes, manufactured in the last year. We've not had that problem with our Prospector.

Bit problematic making a generalization like that. There's only the two folks here on AA that I've read have that happen.

Langford is ridiculously over-priced imo.
I'd have gone straight back to the store and made a real nuisance of myself until my losses were covered. Step one, take canoe off the car and leave it halfway in the door of the store. Block their ability to make money and they'll deal.

Langfords rock! Never had a broken bow seats with the Nahanni.
