I'm guessing I won't get any takers, but does anyone wanna join me for a trip through Algonquin in June? From the 2nd or 3rd or so through the end of the month. I'm flexible .
I'd love to meet up with some of you folks. I have a boat (kevlar Swift Kip) but no wheels (some may wonder if I have my priorities straight ). Willing to share my water-ride for your land-ride.

An entire month? Wow you're a lucky man, I remember those days.
I love Algonquin but frankly if I had a month I'd be heading to Wabakimi or Quetico....

Hey, haven't I read that before (5:33am today), solopaddler? My uncle tried to convince me to try Quetico a couple years ago. "You've been to Algonquin several times, try somewhere new," he said. I replied, "Algonquin is my favorite place on Earth, and besides, I haven't seen it all yet." I figure, if Markus hasn't grown tired of it yet, then I have a long way to go before I do.

Yeah didn't I read somewhere Rory, that you mentioned that what solopaddler had said about Wabakimi et al, as approaching blasphemy? I concur!! LOL
I never get tired of Algonquin, I get tired of driving back from Algonquin. One day, one day, I'm not going to leave, I'm going to turn around and re-stock, call work and tell them I'm outta here, and go back in.

Actually yeah I did make the same reply earlier today but it never appeared (at least on my computer).
Terribly sorry for the double post.
And you guys should be pushing for Jeffery to try Quetico or Wabakimi. Perhaps he'd be inspired to create updated maps of those fine areas as well LOL!

HAHA! The enthusiasm you lads have for Algonquin is infectious, but you should consider broadening your horizons.
You'll be missing out on some pretty spectacular experiences otherwise.

Uncle Herb, is that you? Seriously, solopaddler, you practically quoted him word for word. Someday, perhaps, but not this year. My wife's uncle goes to Quetico, so maybe I'll join his group next time. As long as I can still get an Algonquin trip or two in!

I'll add this though, I've tripped all over N/W Ontario all the way to Hudsons bay and Quetico is still my favourite flatwater paddling destination for a whole bunch of reasons.

DD is soo cute! You must come out to an AA gathering and bring her!
I should have your trip email some where and will need to
search for it or you can resend it so I know for sure the location
and figure out if I can plan something....
It would likely be a quick in/out as I have plans for the following
Sat night at chalet....
But of course perhaps as well you and Joan might swing by that way
as well on the way out
That way you could still portage 12 Km the last day
and get a hot tub massage as a reward !!!
