I think I lost most of my short term stuff
and I just can't remember where I left it

My three day marathon journey while tiring did not
quench my spring fever. And the recent mini-reunion posts
has me thinking... Hmmm. Do it Now or you'll have to
wait till late Aug as I've done too much June/July
interior camping in the decades past and I don't want
to feed the bugs anymore .
But, I have a friend that has arrived and will be here for the
next few weeks on leave and he wants to try a trip
with Racoon to AP
I believe I have convinced him that we could just doit!!
However he is rather concerned/worried about
bugs now... not too mention long portages I mention in
some of previous trips that Rob and I did and he recently
read.
I think I found a compromise
I am going to check out if the
Wenda cabin is an option for a 3,4 or 5 trip
That would satisfy him ( we'll bring new screen for cabin)
and it would be OK for me as I want to test Carcaujou
waters and other nearby lakes again.
SO: has anybody been to Wenda cabin this spring
and if so... what's the status
BTW: I presume the cabin still comes with the canoe
as part of its rental.. Just hike in with Packs
and canoe is ther so no need to double portage
( oh my... I think I might be getting old and looking
for lighter loads

P.S. This is all Joan's fault... I've been ignoring this area
for decades as I thought is was too easy/crowded
Now that Joan tempted me to test these waters again (past 2-3 years)
starting from Achray my favorites for fishing are Marie,
Spectacle's, Carcajou's, Greenleaf and Baron
not to mention Baron Canyon area lakes and even Grand/Stratton
for scenery. I am I am now hooked to this area
when it comes to doing a short trip as it so close to my home/cottage
compared to other start points
I guess that means longer trips I'll save for
BT/Dickson/Cedar/Laveille
Markus has me really considering the North/West of the park
so perhaps I'll look this area up later as well
