If you are a mountain biker and are looking for a fun week in the park you may be interested in being a bike ranger.

The program is focused on the Minnesing trail and you "work" as the trail host by riding the trail! The "work" entails riding the trail at least every other day, updating the trailhead sign, reporting trees down, providing advice or assistance to those riding the trail. You do not have to be an expert cyclist but you do need to be prepared to ride on a remote trail network.

In return a campsite in the Cannisbay campground is provided to you at no cost. The program runs from the end of June to the long weekend in August.

If you think you might be interested please go to the Ontario Cycling Association web page. Our contact inforamtion is listed there.

Thanks to those that responded. The program has a few spots open if anyone else might be interested. Send me an email and I can give you an update on availability.

I have been going for 15+ years now and it is a lot of fun. A bit like a campground host but more like the trail host program for the hiking trails except you get to stay in the Canisbay Campground. One of the best parts is that you ride the trail every other day which leaves lots of time to hike, canoe and fish on your day off!!

A few pictures have been posted on our web site.

Thanks again!!
