I usually go up to Temagami but decided to do a week at cannisbay lake this year. would like to get into some back country but im not a seasoned canoer so will save that for the future.
Anyways im looking for tips/advice on hiking trails or good day trip canoe trails(not overnight). Good fishing spots in the area of cannisbay or surrounding lakes(either accessible by canoe or drive) I undertsand it will be July so fishing wont be as great as May and June but any tips and reccomendations for any of the above would be great!
forgot to mention this is sadly my first visit to algonquin

thanks for the response.
I've already decided on the campground based on those threads and I've looked at Jeffs maps(which are awesome) So i have an idea where the trails etc are.
But was more looking for advice on "must do" trails etc when im there. I would really like to go to the spruce bog trail , how far would that be from canisbay campground?
I have stayed with the family at Cannisbay and there is pretty good Bass fishing in that lake. Look at Barry,s thread about the stocking list and then find these lakes on the map and try the ones that are close.Make sure you take a trip down Smoke lake as it is very nice
