Day trips in the Tattler Cabin area

Whereabouts are some good places to go in that area? I am thinking of maybe one day fishing on the Opeongo river and heading up to Annie Bay. I also plan on doing some exploring in the marshland that is apparently behind the cabin. Is there anything else worthwile in the area? I think I read somewhere about a lookout on Booth lake, is it true?

Thanks, your ideas are well appreciated.

And remember, July 13-20. Anyone is welcome to drop by.

According to some, there is some sort of a trail starting behind the cabin going to the top of the hill where apparently a fire tower used to stand a long time ago.

I was at the cabin a few years ago and did not see a trail heading to the fire tower, only to the well. The tower is a mile away, so I would advise to use a topo map or a GPS, or you may spend the night out in the bush.

The climb is almost 200m!

Trainman, you could see if there's much left of the Tattler-Booth Crib. Also, you could try traveling to Mykiss L if you feel adventurous (Though I believe it's a fish sanctuary.)
