So I was half listening to the TV while working on the computer but something got my attention. A beer by Moosehead called Cracked Canoe... Now that is a beer they should bottle in plastic... hahah
Neat name, but I'm not crazy about the "light flavor, light calories, and light alcohol volume". If I'm going to lug beers into the Park, I want to enjoy a lot of flavor, calories, and alcohol. To date, I have not brought beer with me, instead sticking to hard liquor (but only at camp, not while paddling--that would be breaking the law!)
Sean, does forum traffic always get this light in June? Is everyone else out on "Algonquin Adventures" right now? I've only been following this forum since August, and I've not been seeing several of the personalities I'd grown accustomed to interacting with.

Hey, I'm still here, Rory.
Still getting used to this logging in thing, though. LOL
Hey, check out the pages and pages and pages of old threads....

No offense intended to those who have posted recently, especially you, Barbara. Perhaps tense threads in the recent past have skewed my perception. It is nice to read the trip logs that have been coming in. I just can't get enough of them!
Beer question: Is Upper Canada Lager still being made? I found it here in Michigan once, liked it, but haven't seen it since. Any other fans?

Take a look back a few years. This board is more active now (not necessarily today but recently) than in the past. It used to be that during weekends of tripping seasons there would be one or two posts over the whole weekend.

Hey Rory,
Yeah, I think that Cabin Fever has hit more than a few people this year and they are taking advantage of the weather to get their butts out to the wilds. I know a few people that are going to be in trips for most of June and into July. Summer tends to slow down a wee bit, but there are still people around making quick check in's and adding mini trip logs, so keep checking...
Either Upper Canada Lager is still being made or they are selling old stock in the Beer Store... hahaha... Here is a link to the Beer store site:

Upper Canada was bought by Sleemans a few years back. They are still making it, but in Guelph now instead of Toronto.

Thanks for the link, Sean. The description reminded me why I liked it so much. I'll have to search my area to find a source. And once again, sorry about the negativity. I'm over it now:)
