Hi all just whant to know when I rent a canoe do I have to rent a pfd with it or does that come with the rental.. thanks ....Fin

Check out this link for Algonquin Outfitters. Seems like the rental includes one paddle and safety kit, the rest appears to be extra.

Any decent outfitter has PFDs & paddles at no extra cost. I wouldn't rent from a place that didn't.
They may also be required to provide a resq kit by law.

You can almost guage the outfitter by the resq kit they give you. If the bailer is an old jug and 3' of cord, you're at the right place. If it's an orange deal with a screw lid and everything inside, well those would be interesting in an upset. There you are in your swamped canoe and you have to unscrew the kit and then everything is bobbing around in the water...floating away... wink.gif
