Hey everyone

This summer is my groups first trip to the east side of the park. I was wondering if anyone had some info about the campsites on Wenda L and Upper Spectacle L. Like which you prefer and the overall quality of the sites.

Hi Eric,

I can't comment on Wenda Lake, haven't camped there. However, spent a memorable week in the area a few years ago and camped on Upper Spectacle a couple of nights. The whole area is quite nice and when we were there (in the height of summer) seemed to be very quiet once you got away from the Creek. You could spend a whole day exploring the creek, it's just teeming with life. We stayed on the second campsite on Upper Spectacle. It was a very large site and quite open. Although it certainly is not the best site I've stayed on (no rocky point or beach), it had a very airy feel to it. And, we were alone on the lake which made it nice.

I prefer Wenda Lake campsite (and the cabin)
But I would go over to Carcajou Lake for an even better one!
