Some of the AO folks went
up it on their big circular trip (The name of their trip is escaping me.) Randy could probably pass on some info. Hap Wilson also wrote about it in his book "Canoeing and Hiking Wild Muskoka: An Eco-Adventure Guide".
I (believe) it has a bunch of whitewater (I don't have my resources at hand right now), so be prepared for that.
In terms of camping.. I believe the rules are the same as the ones for crown land camping. Basically, it's free for Canadians and the only limitation is you have to move at least 100m every 21 days (Again, going by memory).
