Algonquinites
My wife and I would like some thoughts on the below route. We've been to Algonquin for 10 years now, through various access points, and we've decided to try Pt #17 this year. We've planned the potential route below; please let us know what you think. We want a bit of a challenge, but not an Eco-Challenge.

Leave from Shall

Night 1 Booth Lake
Night 2 East Arm Opeongo
Night 3 Dickson
Night 4 McKaskill
Night 5 Shirley

home.

There's a few long portages in there, but we think we can do them.

Thanks in advance for your help!!

I think it looks like fantastic route for a nice summer tour of that section of the park. Certainly a few challenges, but nothing "over the top". If you get early starts you'll have time to dilly dally and explore on the way or to chill out at your site in the late afternoon/evening.

Don't forget Animoosh/Little Dickson

Loks like a sound plan but somewhat busy

Note : Some great suppers have been caught in titled lakes

Bring some wild rice and you will have a gourmet meal
provided by nature ( perhaps with some fiddleheads as a side happy.gif )

P.S. I'd push to Animoosh or at least Cisco bay so that you can
atleast test the waters of Animoosh or perhaps Little Dickson.

P.P.S.Bring some fishing gear and at least one lure happy.gif
even if only a pack rod that can be purchased
for less than $12-$15 if you shop at GTB or Winners happy.gif
