Is this portage do-able with a canoe cart,(lots of stumps and rocks) or would it be easier to carry it in?
thanks,
Knots

The portage is only 550m and relativly flat. Walk it!

Hi Knots,

Too rough for a cart, you might break it in my opinion. There is only one ascent of about 6 maybe 7m, of an incline that is perhaps 40°, that you need to be concerned about, and really it is too small of a hill to worry about, honestly.

I agree with Markus 100%

Less damage to cart that way, important especially if it's a rental!

Definitely not a good portage for a cart. Too muddy and uneven with plenty of obstacles.

Knots,

On the other hand, the portage into Shirley, is very cart-able.
Hope this helps.
