Hi,
Can anyone tell me anything about the quality of the campsites on Longbow lake just of Rosebary lake? I allready looked at the information listed for the campsite closest to the portage to the Tim River under PCI Project.
Thanks,
LeoV

This is going back to 2005 LeoV,

http://www.network54.com/Forum/352882/thread/1121046837/last-1121192570/Back+From+Rosebary+Lake%21

Some visuals on the longbow camspites you ask about are near the bottom of the bunch of photos i posted.

If you recall recently, Barbara was talking about how she had asked specifics about a certain site(on longbow) and got chewed upon by other AA'ers for asking about it(Way back when). The issue came up recently in reference to the PCI database...it is a long convoluted story.

Nevertheless hope this is the info you are looking for

Hi Markus,

Thanks for the info. Thinking of a 4 or 5 night trip and was planning to stay on one site and day trip. Trying to make up my mind if I should book for Rosebary or Longbow Lake. Guess the sites on Longbow arent to great but will probably be more peaceful than the sites on Rosebary. How busy does it get on Rosebary "beach" and does the sound carry to the other sites?

Thanks again,
LeoV

Lots of 'if's' Leo.
If the people on the beach site are quiet, no problem, but if they are having a party..then well you know. I'll tell ya though all the moose seemed to be down in the longbow narrows area. If the beach site is taken on Rosebary, the southern site is not too bad at all, I would've liked to stay there,(but it was occupied). I figure campsite worthiness is all a matter of opinion. I'd favour the west facing site on Longbow, the one on a point. It has alot of ferns in the back, but it has room to move around. The other site with the blade of a steam shovel(I guess) for a windbreak for the firepit, was nice and cozy, but too small for my tastes. You might prefer a smaller camp, who know..I just know that particular site sees very little sunlight. Good Luck and let us know how your trip turned out.
