Heading into Rosebary lake. Would like some opinions about what the best campsite is on this lake. I have read that the site close to the Tim River is not very good. Also read Marks trip log and seen the pictures of the site he stayed on. Any pictures would be good too.

Thanks,
LeoV

I went to Rosebary L. and back via the Tim R. earlier this season. I think it was after the 8th lift over a beaver dam and 40th switchback that I decided I was too far in to turn back. Not a trip I will do again! However, in answer to your question, I have not visited any of the sites on the west side of the lake. The first site west of the beach is where we stayed. It is elevated, a little closed in and a short trail leading to the beautiful beach, really the only reason I would consider going back though there are equally nice beaches elsewhere. There is an upper and lower tent site and the site itself is quite worn. We landed on the beach and humped our stuff up to the site along the trail. The site southeast of the beach is also nice. The nicest of the sites I visited is the one on the point on the north side as you enter Longbow L. It has a nice rock beach, is elevated, open and quite nice. We stopped there for lunch and spent some time there. My kids fished and caught a few perch. I wished we had chosen that one and would recommend it though my boys quite enjoyed being adjacent to the beach. I understand the two sites on the south side as you enter Longbow are nice with some historical artifacts remaining but I did not visit them. Hope that info is useful. Will try to post some pics.
