Everyone is welcome to attend a get together of AA forum users the weekend of Oct. 2-4 on Galeairy Lake.
Let's start posting our plans here.
We will meet at the cluster of campsites on Galeairy just east of the dam at Rock Lake.
Does anybody need a canoe partner? Anybody going in a day earlier?
I'll be there (Stainless)
J-Wolf, yes?
Jeff P.?
Markus and Joan?
Racoon, and maybe Bo Knows!?
SmedleyCo.?
Madmusher?
Barbara?
Tomek, Agnes?
Dave and Amy for a day visit?
Jeffrey M?
others I've forgotten?
I'd love to come, but I'd need a ride up with someone who's leaving from Toronto after 3pm on Friday... I'm doubting that's the case for anyone, but if it is, that'd be great. I can supply a canoe if needed
Would make interesting night judging such deliveries around the campfire.
.. MadMusher hamburgs and beer
vs
.. Laurie Ann wilderness cooking
Sadly I too am otherwise committed now that weekend
I'd luv to be closer and deliver nourishment but
I'm now Food Services director for Ladysmith Oktoberfest which
is happening that weekend.
I'll be busy cooking/panicing depending
on crowds. P.S. The Sausages, Sauerkraut and/or Potatoes
would be excellent around a campfire!
P.S. If you can't be at Galeriry then
there always Oktoberfest

I'm definitely IN! I'm also more than willing to serve as a paddling partner if anyone needs one. As for dates, count me in for anything. If someone needs a partner and is going up earlier, I'm all for that as well.

J-Wolf, I'll let you know soon if I have a paddling partner. If I don't, let's join up and go in on the Thursday.

Mark,
I have plans to make the Daisy Lake Gathering Oct. 15-18, so count me in! I am hoping to persuade a newbie friend to make the trip with me from down here in the States.
Hey Swede! I am looking forward to seeing you there. We should coordinate menus so we can share some meals together. You know it is just as easy to cook for a group of four as it is for two. Needless to say, Kermit will be there as well.

I';; be in Russia and I will for sure have a
drink thinking of you all (Likely vodka )
But if the ice is still at bay and there is a Nov
trip I'll be ther. Sadly , that's unlikely ( Nov) and my last trip to the park this year will likely
be a day trip to WP on a special one day WP Express

Anyone? -nyone? --yone? --one?
Hello? -ello? --llo? --lo?
I can only make one more trip this year, and would like to meet up with some ppl. If no-one is going to be able to make next weekend, I think I'd like to change to the Daisy Lake trip 2 weeks later.

We're still trying to decide if we should come here and carry, which I hate to do now that I got lazy and I enjoy paddling way more, or go to Opeongo. Either way we will be in the park.

Hey Tomek,
I'm not sure what you mean about 'carry', there is no portage at Galeairy, just launch and go.
Galeairy is an access point lake(a rather large one too), that would be well suited to kayaking.
Wouldn't want ya to miss your opportunity through a mis-understanding!
Cheers
