What's your favorite "fall colours" interior route? Cheers Tom

Fall is my favorite time to trip. As for colours, the eastern part of Algonquin offers mostly yellowish colours with the odd reds and oranges.

I prefer the fall season as the parc is simply abanded in many interior areas...well in October that is. Just expect anything from snowstorms to sunny, warm, t-shirt kind of days.

The fishing is always good in October as fish want to fatten up for winter, we fish other species as trout season is closed. Some of my fatest fish were caught in October, and that for many species.

Most people "fear" the cold nights, leaving us alone, well most times, to enjoy the "only" campfire on the lake and probably for miles around. A warm fire for 4 to 6 hours will get any chill out of your body, combined with a little "juice" guaranties a great nite's sleep.

I have been to Algonquin in October on at least 20 different occasion throughout the years and have fished in many different types of weather. From wearing a skidoo suit for 4 straight days to getting a sunburn in plus 20's celcious days.

Indian summer is sometimes present on our trips which make's it even that much better. I am going back again this year after Thanksgiving weekend.
