It was with great deliberation that I put this on today. It is of course my Panerai 001 with Pearwood box (the label inside still has plastic on it), manual, booklet, authenticity document, screwdriver tool, OEM rubber Panerai strap, brown leather Toshi (worn well), black hard Officine Panerai travel case, warranty card (stamped) with 1 year international warranty starting today and running til 01/10/10, bill for £470 for a replacement crown-guard/lever and full service. It was produced and dated in papers from 2000. I believe this is a painted not sandwich dial. Booklets are in now way bent, the back hasn't even been broken on them actually! Just to emphasise the metal Officine Panerai plate in the box is not damaged it still has its protective plastic on it .
My pictures are awful so apologies they do no service to the watch. It has had a full valet and looks great. There are a few specks here and there but it certainly looks A++ to me and nothing strikes a chord with me at all!
Enough of my spiel.
straight buy-price; £3200. I have based this on all the prices being from $5600 (which is significantly more than £3200!) with/(out) papers, no sign of servicing and with significant dings and dents. This is clearly a really nice bit of kit, increasingly rare and very hard to find in this condition and serviced. The new crown guard obviously is a bonus since it forms a sizeable part of the watch too! I'm not quoting silly money to mark it down.

Again apologies for the poor shots but you get a feeling for it at least

. There are specks appearing on the watch but there certainly isn't marks on it that I can see with the naked eye (trust me I check :-p)
