Response to Tide is remebering the Bryant days but that was 20 YEARS

Auburn has had some moments, but less on their own merits than because they're the OTHER school in Alabama. Taken on their own, they're little better than a central Florida or any of the other second tier schools that have entered division 1 over the past decade.

While great schools--Penn State, Nebraska, USC, Notre Dame, Alabama, LSU, Texas are known for their histories, known for great coaches and leaders, contributions to their states and tradition in their programs, the Plainsmen, Tigers, War Eagles or whatever new name they choose to call themselves are known simply for a tradition of mediocrity and scandal.

Auburn alumn would like to think the past few years signal a change to that, but as they stand now, Auburn is still the great pretender of college football.

What do you call a genius at Auburn?

A visitor.
