Hi all,
just arrived home frome another great meeting in Viareggio.
Piero and his friends have put together another great programme!
Many "old faces" and also some "new faces" made it a wonderful
get-together in Tuscany. The hotel Club I Pini was - as always -
a perfect place for a meeting like a big family could not do it
better...
Here are some of the photos I took on thursday when the first
members arrived from various directions:
"The Lonan Ranger" Ron from the Isle of Man, Diego from Switzerland and Graham from England.
Diego had a good ride with his "little german car"

and found the closest parking place in the hotel's frontyard.
As the "traditional first act" (of course!) we went over to Pizza Conti to have some slices for lunch:
Back to the hotel, several Espressi were floating in... eeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaarrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrnnnnnggggggg
YES!
Asi must have smelled the delicious aroma from miles and arrived as well.
It was about time, mate - huh?

Glad you made it this year, Asi!
Of course there was a serious part that thursday afternoon: "drooling watches"
Asi's 292 and Piero's 210
The "early birds" dinner shot: Asi, Mike, Ron, Jens, Diego, Ralf, Graham and Piero
After the delicious dinner it was time to continue with the dial discussions...
Will there ever be an end? ...no
Comparing the surfaces of matte sandwich dial (top) next to a painted brass dial (center).
And this is what we had for "vintage dessert":
Three 6152/1 with Rolex machines and Luminor Panerai dials.
And another 6152/1 with Angelus next to the Rolex movements. "Nice backs..."
I hope you enjoyed the "warm up"... more to come!
Cheers,
Volker
